Reinaldo's Birth Story | Lakewood Ranch Birth Photographer

I arrived at the hospital for Whitney's birth, and the moment I stepped in the hospital room, I felt it. Something Beautiful was happening here. The room smelled of lavender, a Himalayan salt lamp glowed beside the hospital bed, calming music was playing, and a blanket with words of hope from scripture was laid across the bed. Instead of the usual IV's and hospital gown, Whitney wore her own skirt and tank, strappy sandals, and a simple cross around her neck. Whitney's husband, Rei, her friend and doula, Krystle, her parents, and her sisters were in the room quietly talking, laughing, encouraging, praying. The sign at the entrance said it all: "Sacred Space".

Whitney and Rei welcomed sweet baby Reinaldo, aka "Rennie", to thier family April 7, 2015 at 7:43pm. I am so honored to share their story with you here.
